Iowa teen missing
15 year old Kathlynn Shepard was abducted by Michael Klunder on Monday, along with a 12 year old who managed to escape and find help. Michael Klunder committed suicide Monday night and Shepard is still missing.
Volunteers are searching Hamilton, Boone, and Webster counties for any sign of her. So far they haven’t been able to narrow their focus.
I know there probably aren’t a whole lot of Iowans on tumblr, and I’m not sure how much help these kinds of posts actually are, but anyone with information is encouraged to call 515.573.2323 or 911.
I don’t know her, nor am I from that part of the state, but I hope that she is found and returned to her family soon.

I don’t care if it’s “not your type of blog”, I’m shocked and disappointed that my dash isn’t flooded with prayer and best wishes for all of those in Oklahoma.
You still have a home to sleep in tonight, and your life is not literally uprooted. Let’s have some decency here and let everyone effected know that all of America is rooting and praying for them to come out on top of this disaster.

I am DAMN proud to live in Oklahoma. We will make it through this. God Bless those people who have been effected. My prayers are with them

Oklahoma was hit by a bunch of tornadoes, including one massive tornado that has damaged at least six thousand structures. Rescuers are pulling children out of the rubble of an elementary school. Pray pray pray.

So my mom and I have been working the same waitress job for 5-6 years now. She had been waitressing years before, but this is recently. Anyway, about… 15 minutes ago this guy she waited on left and told her to take care. Just that. Prior to this she had talked to him about Italy. Her people are from Florence, this and that, and she said she’s never been. She’s got 8 years of art education and she’s working a waitress job. It’s pretty… Sad and disappointing, I guess. Her and my father divorced 6 years ago and she hasn’t had a real job ever. Just been stuck in a small town she’s not from.
This man who we have never seen before tipped her 1000 dollars for a trip to Italy. Walked out, not another word.
…you know. Just when I start to lose faith in humanity….Hm.
